Hampton, South Carolina — According to state and local economic development sources LiDestri Food and Drink/Agriculture Technology Campus plans to invest $314,000,000.00 to build out 150,000 square feet of new space in Hampton. The company plans to occupy the new space in Hampton, on or about January 1, 2022. According to the company website Agriculture Technology Campus is a joint venture project between Mastronardi, Clear Water Farms, LiDestri Food and Drink and GEM Opportunity Zone Fund. The Agriculture Technology Campus will include greenhouses for locally grown, pesticide-free tomatoes, leafy greens, blueberries, and other produce, a 150,000-square-foot distribution center, and a co-packing facility. This announcement marks one of the largest agriculture investments in South Carolina history.
