Houston, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Wonderland, Inc. plans to invest $16,000,000.00 to build out 95,000 square feet of new space in Houston. The company plans to occupy the new space at 5807 Calhoun in Houston, on or about November 1, 2022. According to the company website Located in the Historic Third Ward of Houston, TX and home of the Gators, Wonderland Inc. is an educational organization that operates two distinct institutions of learning. The first, Wonderland Private School, is a private school dedicated to serving the needs of early-childhood students of 18 months to 4 years of age. The second is the the Beatrice Mayes Institute, a public charter school. BMI serves the needs of K-8th-grade students and prepares them effectively to ensure great success in high school and beyond. Most of our students are minorities with a substantial African American population, and many fall in the historically under-served category. Wonderland Inc. works tirelessly to provide such students with the opportunity to grow and prosper by giving them the confidence and education needed for them to achieve success and to find their path in life.
