San Antonio, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources UT Health San Antonio plans to invest $430,000,000.00 to build out new space in San Antonio. The company plans to occupy the new space at Ewing Halsell between Hamilton Wolfe and Wurzbach in San Antonio, on or about April 1, 2024. According to the company website UT Health San Antonio, one of the country’s leading health sciences universities, is the leader in south/central Texas funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The university’s schools of medicine, nursing, dentistry, health professions and graduate biomedical sciences have produced more than 33,000 alumni. The $806.6 million operating budget supports four campuses in San Antonio and Laredo, and is the primary driver of its community’s $37 billion biomedical and health care industry.
