Cass City, Michigan — According to state and local economic development sources Walbro Engine Management plans to invest $11,400,000.00 to build out new space in Cass City. The company plans to occupy the new space at 6242 Garfield Ave in Cass City, on or about March 1, 2022. According to the company website Walbro is the world’s largest manufacturer of carburetors and a major manufacturer of ignition systems, fuel injection and air/fuel management components, and fuel storage and delivery components for engines targeted at outdoor power equipment, marine, recreational and two-wheel applications. Walbro employs over 2,500 people with manufacturing facilities in the United States, Mexico, Japan, Thailand and China.
