Austin, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Austin Transit Partnership plans to invest $2,000,000.00 to build out 25,794 square feet of new space in Austin. The company plans to occupy the new space at 203 Colorado Street in Austin, on or about February 1, 2022. According to the company website The Austin Transit Partnership is an independent local government corporation with the authority and resources to design, construct and implement the Project Connect program. Operating with full transparency for the community and oversight from the Capital Metro board and Austin City Council, the ATP board is appointed by members of the CapMetro board and city council. Capital Metros Project Connect is a transformational expansion of the regions public transit system, and its designed to improve access to essential jobs, health care, and education – making our communities more livable, equitable, and sustainable. Established as an independent organization, the Austin Transit Partnership (ATP) will guide the Project Connect investment with transparency and accountability throughout the program. Project Connect is a comprehensive transit plan that will transform Central Texas and support our communitys continued growth. Project Connect Community Advisory Committee was created to advise on anti-displacement strategies and equity during the implementation of Project Connect. We are now seeking qualified individuals to fill roles throughout the Austin Transit Partnership team.
