Concord, North Carolina — According to state and local economic development sources NASCAR plans to invest $28,500,000.00 to build out 58,000 square feet of new space in Concord. The company plans to occupy the new space at West Winds Business Park in Concord, on or about January 1, 2024. According to the company website The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) is the sanctioning body for the No. 1 form of motorsports in the United States and owner of 16 of the nations major motorsports entertainment facilities. NASCAR consists of three national series (NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series), four regional series (ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East & West and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour), one local grassroots series and three international series. The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) governs the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier U.S. sports car series. NASCAR also owns Motor Racing Network, Racing Electronics, Americrown Service and ONE DAYTONA.
