Chesterfield, Virginia — According to state and local economic development sources Civica plans to invest $27,800,000.00 to build out 55,000 square feet of new space in Chesterfield. The company plans to occupy the new space at Meadowville Technology Park in Chesterfield, on or about August 1, 2023. According to the company website Civica, Inc. (Civica Rx) was created in late 2018 to secure the supply of important medicines hospitals use every day. Because patients should have the essential medicines they need when they need them. As a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, nonprofit generic drug company created by hospital systems and philanthropies, Civicas mission is to ensure quality generic medicines are accessible and affordable to everyone. While serving over 55 health systems and 1,500 hospitals, Civica also supplies the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Defense, and 340B hospitals caring for vulnerable patients in some of the country’s most underserved areas.
