Houston, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Sequent Energy Management plans to invest $2,300,000.00 to build out 25,000 square feet of new space in Houston. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1200 Smith Street in Houston, on or about February 1, 2023. According to the company website Williams completed its acquisition of Sequent Energy Management, L.P. and Sequent Energy Canada, Corp. from Southern Company Gas on July 1, 2021.The acquisition accelerates Williams natural gas pipeline and storage optimization and marketing growth and increases Williams gas pipeline marketing footprint to over 8 Bcf/d, with expansions into new markets to reach incremental gas-fired power generation, liquified natural gas (LNG) exports and future renewable natural gas (RNG) and other emerging opportunities.
