The company plans to occupy the new space at 5 Federal Street in Billerica, on or about August 1, 2020. According to the company website Sheaumann Laser, Inc. is a privately-held corporation that was founded in 2005 by Jim Hsieh, a pioneer in the packaged semiconductor industry whose Massachusetts-based company Lasertron became a leading producer of lasers during the fiber optic telecommunications boom of the 1980s and 1990s. Sheaumann Laser specializes in the design and manufacture of semiconductor laser diodes and modules for sensing, imaging, telecom, navigation, and illumination applications for the industrial, defense, and medical industries.
