Oakland, California — According to state and local economic development sources Bay Area Rapid Transit plans to invest $140,000,000.00 to build out 250,000 square feet of new space in Oakland. The company is creating new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space at 2150 Webster St. in Oakland, on or about March 1, 2021. According to the company website Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) connects the San Francisco Peninsula with Berkeley, Oakland, Fremont, Walnut Creek, Dublin/Pleasanton and other cities in the East Bay. For more than 45 years BART has provided fast, reliable transportation to downtown offices, shopping centers, tourist attractions, entertainment venues, universities and other destinations for Bay Area residents and visitors alike.
