Goshen, Ohio — According to state and local development sources, Goshen Township plans to invest $3,000,000.00 to build out 14,000 square feet of new space in Goshen. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1849 Sr 28 in Goshen, on or about March 1, 2024. According to the company website The area that would become Goshen Twp. was founded in 1799 by German and English settlers, most of whom had migrated down the Ohio River from western Pennsylvania after fighting for the Colonies during the American Revolutionary War. Jacob Meyers from Penn’s Valley, PA is believed to be the first permanent settler. In 1798 he bought a farm of several hundred acres on one a branch of the Obannon Creek, two miles south of the present village of Goshen. The GTHS History Library is a treasure trove of information for Goshen Township and its many notable citizens.
