Winnsboro, South Carolina — According to state and local economic development sources Sea Pro Boats plans to invest $3,000,000.00 to build out new space in Winnsboro. The company is creating 135 new jobs, and plan to occupy the new space at 396 State Highway 34 East in Winnsboro, on or about June 1, 2020. According to the company website One of the original owners of SEA PRO Jimmy Hancock, along with former Tidewater Boats founder Preston Wrenn are excited to bring about the resurrection of a legend in the mid-tier center console salt water fishing boat market! The Next Wave is an all new incarnation of the brand that officially launched in the spring of 2015 with the release of their flagship model, the 208 Bay Series. After introducing a total of 4 new models for the 2016 model year, SEA PRO has already added two more with plans for a total of 8 new models for the 2017 season. The new line is built with South Carolina pride in a newly renovated 200,000 sq ft facility in Whitmire, SC.
