Robstown, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Gulf Coast Cooperative plans to invest $2,000,000.00 to build out 4,520 square feet of new space in Robstown. The company plans to occupy the new space at 607 US Highway 77 in Robstown, on or about 9/1/2024. According to the company website Gulf Coast Cooperative, established in 1944, grew from mergers and acquisitions of various grain elevators and cotton gins in Nueces and Kleberg Counties. We are engaged in merchandising, buying, storing, and selling corn, grain sorghum, and wheat for domestic and export markets. We also gin seed cotton that goes in to textile use in the manufacturing of cotton fabric. Gulf Coast Cooperative has eight strategically located grain handling facilities in our trade area totaling more that 14 million bushels of storage. Gulf Coast Cooperative also operates a state of the art cotton gin. Gulf Coast Cooperative manages a fuel division that provides fuel through our fuel island and with bulk deliveries. GCC also has a cottonseed bagging division with both supersack totes and pallets of 40 lb bags available.
