Houston, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center plans to invest $4,200,000.00 to build out 15,107 square feet of new space in Houston. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1425 La Concha Lane in Houston, on or about October 1, 2024. According to the company website Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center began operations, independent of the Harris County Medical Society on Jan. 1, 1975. Today, recognized worldwide for its quality assurance programming, state-of-the-art technologies and management expertise, The Blood Center has grown to more than 700 employees and serves more than 170 hospitals and health care institutions in the 26-county Texas Gulf Coast, Brazos Valley and East Texas regions. To meet the needs of the area community, The Blood Center must collect about 1,000 donations every day.
