Abilene, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Frontier Texas plans to invest $3,500,000.00 to build out 6,000 square feet of new space in Abilene. The company plans to occupy the new space at 625 N 1st St in Abilene, on or about March 1, 2025. According to the company website Located in historic downtown Abilene, Frontier Texas is a western heritage center that brings the Old West to life with the help of state-of-the-art technology and great true stories. This award winning facility was created to serve as the anchor for the citys and regions tourism development efforts as well a key partner to the educational institutions in the region. Frontier Texas is a world class interactive museum and visitor center located in downtown Abilene, Texas that allows visitors to relive the Old West through the magic of state-of-the-art technology. Frontier Texas brings the frontier to life and lets visitors meet people who played out their lives on the Texas frontier. Frontier Texas also serves as the official visitor center for Abilene and the Texas Forts Trail Region. Frontier Texas is a 501(C)3 Nonprofit organization located at 625 North First Street, Abilene, TX. The facility is operated under the direction of a board of directors consisting of volunteers from throughout the community. The museum has a staff of full-time and part-time employees.
