Stony Creek, Virginia — According to state and local development sources, Atlantic Strategic Minerals plans to invest $50,000,000.00 to build out square feet of new space in Stony Creek. The company is creating 71 new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space at 12468 St John Church Rd in Stony Creek, on or about June 1, 2025. According to the company website Atlantic Strategic Minerals is an emerging critical minerals producer, focused on bringing its existing, Virginia-based heavy mineral sands mining and mineral processing infrastructure back to life. ASM’s primary focus is to restart its existing mine and mineral processing facilities in Dinwiddie and Sussex Counties in Southern Virginia, a region familiar with heavy mineral sands mining.
