According to the company website, Hi-Tek Electronics is a privately-owned electronics contract manufacturer providing small to medium quantity assembly services. The company was founded in 1986 in Silverton, Oregon by Gary Foster and relocated to Salem, Oregon in 1989. The current owner was a customer for 20 years before purchasing the business. In 2013 Hi-Tek acquired the assets and staff of Lytech Solutions, another electronics contract manufacturer which doubled the size of the business. This reunited many people that had worked together at Hi-Tek. Some of the first employees still work at Hi-Tek with several employees starting over 25 years ago.
