Houston, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Target Hunger plans to invest $6,000,000.00 to build out 11,638 square feet of new space in Houston. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1260 Shotwell St Bldg A in Houston, on or about September 1, 2025. According to the company website For 33 years, Target Hunger has carried out its mission to alleviate hunger and its root causes in the impoverished northeast Houston neighborhoods we serve. We focus not just on immediate food aid, but also on addressing the systemic, underlying causes of poverty that lead to food insecurity. Target Hunger a United Way agency, is one of Houstons largest organizations providing direct food distribution to food insecure seniors, children, and families who face the risk of going hungry every day. In 2021, Target Hunger distributed more than 1.5 million meals to more than 16,000 individuals. All of our work is made possible by generous donors and volunteers.
