Allen, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Allen Independent School District plans to invest $45,000,000.00 to build out 273,000 square feet of new space in Allen. The company plans to occupy the new space at 450 Tatum Dr in Allen, on or about November 1, 2022. According to the company website Allen ISD is a nationally recognized public school district providing outstanding educational opportunities for elementary and secondary students. The award-winning district serves the majority of the city of Allen, Texas, as well as sections of Parker and McKinney. The suburban community is located 23 miles north of Dallas. As of 2021, Allen ISD is ranked as the ninth-best district in Texas according to Niche.com. The City of Allen is commonly ranked on Best Cities to Live lists. Student enrollment has doubled since 1989, bringing the current number of students to more than 21,000 in grades prekindergarten to 12th. Students attend 18 elementary schools, three middle schools, one freshman center, and one high school. Additionally, Allen ISD opened a STEAM Center in 2019 which challenges students from kindergarten to 12th grade to learn science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics through interactive, hands-on experiences.
