Bastrop, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Bastrop Central Appraisal District plans to invest $625,000.00 to build out 12,000 square feet of new space in Bastrop. The company plans to occupy the new space at 212 Jackson Street in Bastrop, on or about January 1, 2023. According to the company website Bastrop Central Appraisal Districts mission is to provide quality service with the highest principles of integrity, professionalism, and respect. We will uphold these standards while providing an accurate, fair, and cost-effective appraisal roll for use in property tax assessment, while adhering to the property tax laws of the State of Texas. The administration of the Appraisal district office is directed by the Chief Appraiser. The Chief Appraiser is supported in her duties by the Deputy and Directors as listed. The Bastrop CAD employees are available to assist the public regarding homestead applications, agricultural/wildlife applications, business personal property renditions, protest procedures, and any other applications in person, by telephone and/or email.
