Bryan, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Blinn College District plans to invest $27,180,000.00 to build out 46,442 square feet of new space in Bryan. The company plans to occupy the new space at 2608 E. Villa Maria Road in Bryan, on or about January 1, 2025. According to the company website Founded in 1883, Blinn is a comprehensive community college committed to educational excellence and to individual and community enhancement. With an enrollment of 19,581 students, Blinn ranks among the nations leaders in transferring students to leading four-year universities and has received national recognition for its affordable educational excellence. According to data compiled by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Blinn’s academic transfer rate of 48.2% ranks No. 1 in the state and far exceeds the state-wide average of 25.4%. According to information compiled by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Blinn College District students save approximately 40% in tuition and fees compared to the average Texas public university. In addition to Blinn’s low tuition and fees, the Blinn Foundation offers approximately 300 endowed scholarships available to incoming students from a wide range of backgrounds, majors, and experiences. Blinn graduates earn $9,000 more per year than employees with only a high school diploma – that’s $270,000 over an average 30-year career.
