Austin, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Brown Distributing plans to invest $15 Million to build out 82,037 square feet of new space in Austin. The company plans to occupy the new space at 8711 Johnny Morris Road in Austin, on or about March 1, 2026. According to the company website Brown Distributing Company was founded in 1962 by J. Dan Brown. Mr. Brown started his company with three trucks, four employees, and three brands of beer. The company has grown to become the Austin market leader in the beer industry, employing around 400 people, and carrying a wide variety of beer and non-alcohol beverages. Brown Distributing has always taken great pride in giving back to the communities in which they do business. Each year the company donates close to a million dollars to various non-profit, civic, and educational organizations, while sponsoring over 500 charitable events throughout Central Texas.
