Ferris, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources City of Ferris plans to invest $4,200,000.00 to build out 13,000 square feet of new space in Ferris. The company plans to occupy the new space at 331 Ewing Blvd in Ferris, on or about January 1, 2024. According to the company website Ferris is a city in Dallas and Ellis counties in the state of Texas. It is 20 miles south of downtown Dallas and is knowns as, The City that Bricked the World. Settlement of the area began in the early 1870s. The expansion of the DallasFort Worth Metropolitan Area and the construction of Interstate 45 aided the growth of Ferris in the latter half of the twentieth century. Although the number of businesses decreased during the 1980s, the population continued to grow.
