Kansas City, Missouri — According to state and local development sources, Eastern Airlines plans to invest $4,700,000.00 to build out new space in Kansas City. The company is creating 165 new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space in Kansas City, on or about November 1, 2024. According to the company website Eastern Airlines, LLC (Eastern) is a US Part 121 Flag Air Carrier with Scheduled Domestic and International, Passenger and Cargo authority from the US Department of Transportation (DOT) operating wide-body, long-range aircraft. As of May 1st, 2019, our operating fleet consisted of eight (8), wholly owned, Boeing B767 series passenger aircraft. Eastern Airlines was originally founded in 1926.
