Liberty, North Carolina — According to state and local development sources, Fujihatsu & Toyotsu Battery Components plans to invest $60,000,000.00 to build out new space in Liberty. The company is creating 133 new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space in Liberty, on or about May 1, 2025. According to the company website Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. (TAI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, which was founded as a trading and supply-chain specialist of the Toyota Group. TAI has been operating in North America since 1961.
