Mesquite, Texas — According to state and local development sources, General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems plans to invest $65,000,000.00 to build out 159,254 square feet of new space in Mesquite. The company plans to occupy the new space at 19850 IH 635 in Mesquite, on or about January 1, 2025. According to the company website General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems provides the U.S. military and its allies around the world, an extensive range of weapons systems needed at all levels of strategic and tactical operations. For ground forces, we manufacture heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, crew-served weapons and munitions of all calibers. As well as family of lightweight vehicles for expeditionary and special forces. We produce weapons systems and ammunition for U.S. Navy shipboard applications. For airborne platforms, we produce weapons for fighter aircraft, including high-speed Gatling guns for all U.S. fixed-wing and rotary military aircraft. Our munitions portfolio covers the full breadth of naval, air and ground forces applications across all calibers and weapons platforms.
