Dallas, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Genesis Women’s Shelter plans to invest $12,400,000.00 to build out 28,800 square feet of new space in Dallas. The company plans to occupy the new space at 2023 Lucas Drive in Dallas, on or about January 1, 2022. According to the company website Genesis Women’s Shelter was created to give women in abusive situations a way out. Our mission is to provide safety, shelter and support for women who have experienced domestic violence, and to raise awareness regarding its cause, prevalence and impact. Since we opened our doors, Genesis Women’s Shelter has helped 1,200 women and children find a way out of abuse each year.
