Everett, Washington — According to state and local economic development sources Helion Energy plans to build out new space in Everett. The company plans to occupy the new space in Everett, on or about July 1, 2022. According to the company website Helion is a fusion energy company based in Redmond, WA, with the mission to build the world’s first commercial fusion powerplant. Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable electricity for everyone. Currently, we are scaling up our latest plasma accelerator prototype to make our vision a reality. Helion is creating the world’s first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Fusion produces clean, reliable, and abundant energy from deuterium, found in water, and helium-3, a product of fusing deuterium atoms. The Earth’s oceans contain enough deuterium to generate billions of years worth of zero-carbon energy.
