Houston, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Houston-Galveston Area Council plans to invest $4,000,000.00 to build out 36,879 square feet of new space in Houston. The company plans to occupy the new space at 6909 Portwest Drive in Houston, on or about August 1, 2023. According to the company website H-GAC is the region-wide voluntary association of local governments in the 13 county Gulf Coast region of Texas. Its service area is 12,500 square miles and contains more than 7 million people. H-GACs mission is to serve as the instrument of local government cooperation, promoting the regions orderly development and the safety and welfare of its citizens. H-GAC is the regional organization through which local governments consider issues and cooperate in solving area-wide problems.
