About K2 Space
Making previously impossible mission possible. In spacecraft design, mass and cost have always been closely tied. As a result, missions have been forced to choose between large, capable and expensive OR small, less capable and cheap. Our next-generation satellite bus provides the ability to deploy highly capable satellites at a fraction of the cost. Accelerating the abundant sci-fi future we were always promised by expanding our use of space The latest generation of launch vehicles will open the doors to the solar system, paving the way for missions more ambitious than ever before. But this future demands a new approach to every aspect of spacecraft design. We’re starting with the 75% that’s common: the satellite bus. Whether it’s building a new class of probes or developing constellations in new orbits, we’re building for the next generation of space exploration and development. A Kardashev Type II civilization is one that can build massive structures, like a Dyson sphere, to harness the power of its star. We exist to help humanity take another step towards that sci fi future, which is why we call ourselves K2 Space.
