Columbia, South Carolina — According to state and local development sources, McEntire Produce plans to invest $26,200,000.00 to build out square feet of new space in Columbia. The company is creating 40 new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space at 2040 American Italian Way in Columbia, on or about November 1, 2024. According to the company website McEntire Produce has been in the produce business ever since 1938, and has grown to become a leader in the areas of quality, service, reliability and innovation. The company now employs approximately 600 people and has moved to a new, 163,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility with the capacity for future expansion. This facility will allow us to process a greater variety and larger quantity of produce products. Located only five miles from the old facility, it is a secure, food-safe environment for processing fresh fruits and vegetables.
