Houston, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center plans to invest $1,300,000.00 to build out 9,000 square feet of new space in Houston. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1700 Webster St in Houston, on or about December 1, 2021. According to the company website The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center serves as the primary health care provider for more than 113,000 Veterans in southeast Texas. Veterans from around the country are referred to the MEDVAMC for specialized diagnostic care, radiation therapy, surgery, and medical treatment including cardiovascular surgery, gastrointestinal endoscopy, nuclear medicine, ophthalmology, and treatment of spinal cord injury and diseases. Nearly 5,400 health care professionals provide high quality care to our Veterans for more than 70 years.
