Baltimore, Maryland — According to state and local economic development sources Morgan State University plans to invest $171,323,000.00 to build out new space in Baltimore. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1700 East Cold Spring Lane in Baltimore, on or about December 1, 2024. According to the company website Morgan State University is Maryland’s preeminent public urban research university and the only university to be designated a National Treasure by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Founded in 1867, the Baltimore-based Historically Black College & University is celebrating its 150th year of excellence in higher education. A Carnegie-classified doctoral research institution, Morgan offers more than 100 academic programs leading to degrees from the baccalaureate to the doctorate. Morgan serves a multiethnic and multiracial student body and seeks to ensure that the doors of higher education are opened as wide as possible to as many as possible. Located on Baltimore’s North East corridor, the university is home to more than 8,000 students.
