Charlotte, North Carolina — According to state and local economic development sources Mountain Island Day Community Charter School plans to invest $3,044,137.00 to build out new space in Charlotte. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1209 Little Rock Rd in Charlotte, on or about June 1, 2021. According to the company website MID is an established accredited K-12th grade school founded in 2009. At MID we believe that all aspects of life and learning need to be incorporated in a quality education. We do not believe that knowledge is only contained within a classroom. Our program leverages access to the world through both traditional and and non traditional means: a blended environment that mixes the attention students receive within a small school model with digital resources that provide opportunities for students to creatively capture and process knowledge from the world around them.
