New York City, New York — According to state and local economic development sources National Urban League plans to invest $242,000,000.00 to build out 414,000 square feet of new space in New York. The company plans to occupy the new space at 121 W. 125th St. in New York, on or about October 1, 2023. According to the company website Established in 1910, The Urban League is the nation’s oldest and largest community- based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream. Today, the National Urban League, headquartered in New York City, spearheads the non-partisan efforts of its local affiliates. There are 94 local affiliates of the National Urban League located in 35 states and the District of Columbia providing direct services to more than 2 million people nationwide through programs, advocacy and research.
