Nebraska Furniture Mart to spend $250 Million to occupy 1,900,000 square feet of space in Cedar Creek Texas.
Cedar Creek, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Nebraska Furniture Mart plans to invest $250 Million to build out 1,900,000 square feet of new space in Cedar Creek. The company plans to occupy the new space at 2100 NFM Drive in Cedar Creek, on or about January 1, 2027. According to the company website Nebraska Furniture Mart, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is the largest home furnishing store in North America selling furniture, flooring, appliances and electronics. NFM was founded in 1937 by Mrs. B (Rose Blumkin) in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1983, Mrs. B sold a majority interest to Berkshire Hathaway. NFM now has four stores, located in Omaha, Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas, Des Moines, Iowa and The Colony, Texas.
