Port Isabel, Texas — According to state and local development sources, NextDecade plans to invest $8 Million to build out 32,105 square feet of new space in Port Isabel. The company plans to occupy the new space at 48326 State Hwy 48 in Port Isabel, on or about January 1, 2026. According to the company website NextDecade Corporation (NextDecade) is committed to providing the world access to lower carbon intensive energy. NextDecade, through its wholly owned subsidiaries Rio Grande LNG and NEXT Carbon Solutions, is developing a 27 mtpa LNG export project in South Texas along with one of the largest carbon capture and storage projects in North America. The Rio Grande LNG project is expected to offer one of the most competitively priced, lower carbon intensive LNG products in the global market.
