Amarillo, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Northwest Texas Healthcare System plans to invest $8,000,000.00 to build out 10,388 square feet of new space in Amarillo. The company plans to occupy the new space at 4409 E. Interstate Highway 40 in Amarillo, on or about October 1, 2024. According to the company website Northwest Texas Healthcare System, a 495-bed academic teaching facility based in Amarillo, Texas, is well known for its heart, emergency, stroke and childrens care as well as many other clinical services. The Texas Department of State Health Services has designated Northwest Texas Healthcare as the Lead Trauma Facility for the top 26 counties within the Texas Panhandle. A satellite emergency facility, Northwest Emergency at Town Square, expands the hospitals reach in providing trauma care to the region.
