The company is creating 49 new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space in Wilmington, on or about May 1, 2020. According to the company website Prelude Therapeutics is a privately held biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing new medicines targeting chromatin function to treat cancer and rare diseases. Prelude is focused on the rapid design and development of small molecule agents that target known resistance mechanisms. Treatment emergent resistance resulting from primary resistance to the drug targets, acquired resistance through alterations in the same signaling pathway or signaling through alternative pathways that bypass a drug target’s primary mechanism of action are within the scope of Prelude’s research focus.
