Science Hill, Kentucky — According to state and local development sources, Ridgenet Network Group plans to invest $1,200,000.00 to build out new space in Science Hill. The company plans to occupy the new space at 6833 N KY-1247 in Science Hill, on or about April 1, 2025. According to the company website Ridgenet Network Group started in July of 2010. Ridgenet was designed to deliver broadband to areas that were unserved. Ridgenet delivered the service via wireless communication equipment consisting of cell towers and wireless broadband devices. In 2015, Ridgenet opened their first data center which controlled all aspects of the ISP. It later grew to serve customers in the private business sector. Ridgenet also began to host local government data, as well as data storage. This grew the company into the 2-way radio communications realm. In 2018, Ridgenet launched a sister company, Wilson & Deal Communications, as well as, Ridgenet Public Safety to serve the first responders in vehicle upfitting and 2-way radio services. Today, Ridgenet is now a leader in public safety services and managed IT services for local and state government as a government contractor.
