Milwaukee, Wisconsin — According to state and local economic development sources Seeds of Health Inc. plans to invest $4,200,000.00 to build out new space in Milwaukee. The company plans to occupy the new space at 918 N. Vel R. Phillips Ave. in Milwaukee, on or about November 1, 2021. According to the company website Seeds of Health, Inc. was incorporated in 1983 designed to address the health and educational needs of Milwaukee- area women, adolescents and children. The programs operating under the Seeds of Health, Inc. umbrella include Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program and five schools, one K-4 through 8 elementary school and four high schools, each with a distinct mission. Since opening its first school in 1988 serving 25 students, Seeds of Health, Inc. has progressively expanded its educational services and currently serves approximately 1,300 students and has the only K-12 charter school system in the State of Wisconsin. Seeds of Health, Inc. operates its schools through partnership and charter agreements with the Milwaukee Public Schools and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and the WIC Program through the Department of Health and Family Services.
