Service Center Metals to spend $100,000,000.00 to occupy new space in Virginia.
Virginia — According to state and local economic development sources Service Center Metals plans to invest $100,000,000.00 to build out new space in. The company plans to occupy the new space at SouthPoint Business Park in, on or about October 1, 2022. According to the company website Service Center Metals is an aluminum extrusion company headquartered in Prince George, Virginia. Our company is vertically integrated with two plants on our 30 acre campus. Our flagship Extrusion Plant has two state-of-the-art presses, named Elvis and The Boss. Right next door is our Compact Remelt Plant where we recycle our scrap and produce aluminum log (aka billet) for our extrusion presses on four horizontal casting lines named Mick, Keith, Jake and Elwood. Our Compact Remelt Plant not only has state-of-the-art equipment, but it is the worlds largest horizontal billet casting plant. State-of-the-art equipment, named after Rock and Roll icons, isn’t the secret of our success. What makes our company really tick is our people and the culture we’ve built. The SCM Team is THE reason we lead our industry in safety, customer service, product quality and operational efficiency. At Service Center Metals, our company logo is SCM Can Do and that’s not marketing hype, it defines who we are, how we operate, and why were #1.
