Tomball, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Shell Federal Credit Union plans to invest $2,727,372.00 to build out 5,325 square feet of new space in Tomball. The company plans to occupy the new space at 25514 Tomball Parkway in Tomball, on or about June 1, 2023. According to the company website Shell Federal Credit Union was chartered in Feb 1937 to provide financial services to its 40 original members inside the Shell Deer Park plant. As members not customers, they were part owners and as such, had a voice in how the Credit Union was to be run. The charter members elected a volunteer board to oversee CU operations and today Shell FCUs field of membership includes anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Harris County, Texas. Today, Shell Federal Credit Union proudly serves over 90,000 members, manages more than $1 billion in members assets and employs over 275 dedicated professionals.
