Silvec Biologics is developing the first non-GMO process to inoculate trees, vines, and bushes against harmful pathogens in both seedlings and mature trees. The technology is based on a new type of infectious RNA that can move systemically through plants with no known host range restrictions discovered by Silvec’s Co-founder Dr. Anne Simon, one of the world’s foremost plant virologists. The technology represents a comparable breakthrough for trees as the invention of vaccines and antibiotics had for humans.
