Magnolia, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Sterling Custom Sheet Metal plans to build out 25,200 square feet of new space in Magnolia. The company plans to occupy the new space at 27112 FM 2978 in Magnolia, on or about January 1, 2025. According to the company website Sterling Custom Sheet Metal is a package/freight delivery company based out of 21414 Springwest Dr 104, Spring, Texas, United States. Sterling Custom Sheet Metal, Inc. (SCSM) was founded in the summer of 1983 under a fine oak tree atop pallets and plywood. Sterling Kidd Combs, with customer’s orders on hand, a master sheet metal worker, along with 20 plus years of experience under his belt, started his own sheet metal shop and began the journey of SCSM. Sterling had just returned from Saudi Arabia after designing, building, and outfitting one of the largest sheet metal facilities at that time in Al Jabul. This sheet metal shop facility was fully automated with the best equipment and the dream to air‐condition the Kingdom. After fulfilling his contract as Operations Manager and quite frankly cooling down most of Arabia, Sterling took his family home.
