Norfolk, Virginia — According to state and local economic development sources Tabet Manufacturing Company plans to invest $6,500,000.00 to build out new space in Norfolk. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1336 Ballentine Boulevard in Norfolk, on or about October 1, 2021. According to the company website Tabet Manufacturing Company has been serving the military and industrial markets for many years. The founder Michael Tabet created a dynamic and innovative company that developed the first wafer style switches which fueled the initial growth. From there Tabet entered into the military maritime market and continued to create custom products that are still used on US Navy vessels today. Over the years Tabet has built a large suite of equipment that is used for custom manufacturing programs for both military and industrial customers. This often starts with prototypes and continues all the way up to full production levels.
