According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Peca Labs is raising up to $21,493,540.00 in new funding. The federal securities law requires the notice to be filed by companies that have sold securities without registration under the Securities Act of 1933 in an offering made under Rule 504 or 506 of Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act. A company must file this notice within 15 days after the first sale of securities in the offering. For this purpose, the date of first sale is the date on which the first investor is irrevocably contractually committed to invest. Each issuer of securities that sells its securities in reliance on an exemption provided in Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act of 1933 must file this notice containing the information requested with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and with the state(s) requiring it. If more than one issuer has sold its securities in the same transaction, all issuers should be identified in this filing with the SEC.
About Peca Labs
Peca Labs develops next-generation cardiovascular implantable devices for pediatric and adult patients using a proprietary polymer platform and novel design approaches. Founded by Carnegie Mellon alumni, including a pediatric surgeon, the company focuses on vascular grafts, heart valves, and valved conduits designed to improve performance, durability, visualization, and patient outcomes. Peca Labs positions its products as alternatives to conventional cardiovascular devices, highlighting features such as radiopaque indicators, controllable expansion, bio-inert surfaces, and fully polymeric valve leaflets. The company states that its radiopaque vascular graft is the first polymeric graft with radiopaque indicators and the only vascular graft on the market with this capability. It also reports thousands of vascular graft implants with excellent results and holds ISO 13485:2016 certification. Notable developments include FDA authorization for an early feasibility study of its MASA Valve and the first pediatric patient implantation at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia in June 2023.
